Matt Carns sold Maddox Transport in 2001 because he was moving to Denver, Colorado

August 28th, 2009

Matthew Joseph Carns was born in Birmingham, Alabama on November 3rd, 1976. He studied Business Managements and History at the University of Alabama, and later at the University of Alaska. The information he learned there must have been at least somewhat effectual, because he has gone on to become a wildly successful businessman. Maddox Transport was a start-up trucking company that he started when he was only 21 years old. In 1997 this company consisted of only one small moving van, but would expand, over the next five years, to include five freightliners. This allowed to company to expand to a wider geographical reach, a large client-base, and afforded them the ability to move more product.

The ability to deliver products from all over the Pacific Rim also helped to expand the business. Matt Carns sold Maddox Transport in 2001 because he was moving to Denver, Colorado. Once in Denver, he was offered a job as the first sales manager of Med1Online, which he happily took. His job selling Med1Online’s products allowed him to familiarize himself with the medical equipment industry. It turns out that this brief foray into the industry of medical equipment was not so brief; Carns went on to found his own medical equipment company in 2004. This company, Trinity Medical Solutions, consisted of just Matt Carns and a lot of determination to succeed. By 2007, the staff consisted of sixteen others, and the company could boast of $7,000,000 in medical equipment sales annually. They create and sell ophthalmic, surgical, and cosmetic lasers all over the world.

They also sell pain management and high end diagnostic equipment to M.D.s in every field: Chiropractic, Plastic Surgery, General Practitioning, Pain Management, Neurology, and Dermatology. The equipment is affordable for those who need it, as well as effective. Outside of his conquering of the business world, Matt Carns like snow skiing, watching movies, bicycling, and spending time with friends and family.
